I wanted to have the best for my life and therefore I thought it was good for me to get the best education. I schooled and with determination was able to excel in academics from the basic education to proceed to the high school. In high school I have such clear dream that my efforts cannot be distracted by most of the occurrences that are taking place around me. During my learning peer influence is on the rise and peers engage in activities such as drinking and smoking. I am able to overcome these pressures as I pursue my career path which to me is more important that the other things. I actually want to become a doctor who would serve the interests of the patients who came from my locality.

After four years of schooling in the high school I hope I will be able to score a good grade to enable me to join a tertiary institution to pursue my career. To become a doctor it require that one dedicate about five years of continuous learning. This is because there are different things that are expected to be covered depending on nature of human life. In the institution, the studies are challenging but I will not make me lose my focus. I have committed my time to studies and after years to be able to achieve a degree in medicine which will allow me to become a practicing doctor. This is one of the important times in my life because finally I will gain my longtime dream. I have the conviction that working conditions in the field of medicine are favorable and welcoming.

Every morning will be an important day for me and I will always look forward to join my workmates to take my assigned roles. In the work place I may realize that much of my earlier thoughts were misguided because I often worked for overtime. This will result from the fact that; there are few doctors assigned to hospitals and therefore, the few who are there worked extra hours. To me this was unwelcoming and will slowly change my love and determination to serve the patients. I cannot understand how I will have worked all hard through school only to be disappointed through working for long hours. My dreams are almost chattered and the love I have for my work slowly changed to moments of regrets. In my mind I view some people who did not put much effort in their education but are enjoying life. It crossed in my mind that politicians worked for few hours and earned much money despite their low qualifications. Yes, indeed grass seems greener on the other side and it is time for me to try my luck.

With the idea that grass is greener on the other side, I will decide to leave my occupation and go in politics which I consider attractive. This decision seems to me as a start of luck to start living with less struggles in life. What is true is that the grass may seem greener but once I reach there it becomes all over sudden non attractive. When the elections will be near and offer me a chance to contest for seat I will be required to campaign. I may use large amount of money to encourage voters to elect my but after voting my dreams may be unfulfilled. There is possibility that I may lose the seat to my opponent. This may disappoint me especially after imagining I will have left my job. Indeed, the grass may not always be greener on the other side.

I am not sure that I understood what exactly the author intended to say by this opus. All I know is that it's definitely not my fault.
