Leading the country is a big deal, and not every person will be able to accomplish this task. Of course, smart and intelligent person who knows the system very well can be a leader, but whether this person will be a successful leader or not is the main question. We will suggest that the success of a leader depends on several factors: personal qualities, motivation, self-esteem, level of knowledge and intelligence, and desire. Although, we have to include in this list a gender. Both women and men can lead the country, both of them can obtain special personal qualities that make a person a leader, both of them may or may not have motivation, self-esteem and acknowledges needed for a particular position in the workplace, but it is not a surprise than there are more leaders men in the history. We suggest that women do not have better leadership skills than men and could not lead the country better than a man.

“Working women often complain of feeling socially isolated. This is particularly true of women in higher-ranking positions. The feeling of social isolation can negatively affect the woman seeking to advance professionally” (Soufi, 2011). Despite the democracy and equality that are promoted in our country so loudly, the women discrimination still exists. It is not a secret that the majority of leaders are men. However, we suggest that it happens because it is easier for a man to become a leader, but not because they do it better. During the history there were a lot of successful women who managed to become leaders despite the common opinion that women should stay at home. Now the attitude towards women has changed, and the amount of leaders among women is rising despite the fact that it is a real challenge for them to persuade the publicity that they can accomplish leader’s work not worse than men. However, if for women to be a leader is a real challenge, for the majority of men it is a normal situation. It is suggested that lack of self-esteem (that is historically conditioned) makes women weaker leaders, and as a result, less efficient than men.

It is suggested that women are more emotional than men, and that is why they can lead the organizations or, moreover, a country. Women incorporate more details and arrange them into patterns. While making decisions, “women weigh more variables, consider more options, and see a wider array of possible solutions to a problem” (Fisher, 1999). These things make the working process slower than it can be. We may suggest that this behavior can be explained by the lack of confidence. Women prefer to check every detail because they do not feel confidence about their actions. It makes them weaker.

We may conclude that there are a lot of differences between men and women that should be considered while choosing a leader. Women do not have better leadership skills than men and could not lead the country better than a man because of lack of confidence and self-esteem that are historically conditioned.

Assessment
Overall Impression:
This is just meaningless. The author includes quotes and then doesn’t really do much them. Also, the author juggles with words like «leadership,» and is vague. Combined with all kinds of mistakes (not too numerous, though), which I am too lazy to list at the moment, the essay becomes a big NOPE. Oh yes, and the formatting is bad.
